Hello Hello!
We were thrilled to be featured in CEOWorld recently in a piece titled Why Your Organisation Hinges on Your Leadership Team (read it here). The article explores why a leadership team’s ability to act as a true team – not just a collection of high-performing individuals is mission critical for business success.
While the spotlight is on leadership teams, the core message is universal: high-performing organisations are built on high-performing teams. At every level. So, what lessons can all teams draw from this?
Let’s start with the three key takeaways:
1. Diagnose your team dynamic (Get Real)
Leadership teams — and all teams — need to take a clear-eyed look at how they’re operating. Are we safe to speak up? Are different views genuinely welcomed? Do we trust each other’s intent, even in disagreement? Without this level of honest reflection, teams can drift into dysfunction or remain stuck in ‘functional but not high-performing’ territory. Most teams don’t realise how much better they could be until they pause and take stock.
2. Build real human connection (Get Close)
In the push to get things done, we can skip past relationships. But high-performing teams are built on trust and respect — and those come from connection. Not forced team-building or cheesy icebreakers, but real conversations. Real listening. Real curiosity about each other’s experience and perspective. As I often say to leaders I work with: relationships are not a ‘nice to have’, they’re the foundation of performance.
3. Create shared growth (Get Better)
The best teams don’t just do the work — they work on how they work together. They invest in feedback, development and reflection. They create a climate where it’s safe to challenge each other, share bold ideas, and course-correct in the moment. This is what drives learning, creativity and adaptability.
These insights apply whether you’re in the C-suite, a project team, or a frontline crew. Because team dynamics don’t only matter at the top. Every team — at every level — has the potential to role model synergy, safety and shared accountability. And when they do, the ripple effect is powerful.
If you’re a team leader wondering where to start, here’s a simple prompt: next time you meet as a team, take five minutes to ask, “How are we going as a team — not just what we’re doing, but how we’re doing it together?” You might be surprised what surfaces.
We don’t need more superheroes. We need more teams that are better, together.

Some big changes happening within the practice this month!
After nearly three incredible years, I’m farewelling someone who’s been a steady and trusted part of my world – Fiona Kable, my Executive Assistant.
Fiona joined during a time of significant growth. She supported me through the launch of my book Curious, Connected & Calm and helped build the systems that support our work behind the scenes.
Now, she’s stepping fully into her next chapter as a transformational coach. I couldn’t be more thrilled for her. She’s following a path that’s deeply aligned, and I know she’ll make a powerful impact in the lives of her clients. I can’t wait to see her business grow and flourish.
With Fiona’s departure comes new energy and new support as the business continues to expand.
I’m delighted to welcome two fantastic new team members – Brooke Johnston, our Practice Manager and Glanz Ponferrada our Operations Admin Assistant. Go to Brooke for anything marketing, client delivery, and strategic projects and go to Glanz for meeting coordination, calendar updates, and general operational support across the practice.
These changes mark an important next step for the business – and for me. What happens out in the world with clients is made possible by the team working quietly in the background.
So thank you, Fiona. And welcome, Brooke and Glanz. I’m grateful and excited for what’s ahead.
🌟 Get to Know the Team! 🌟
As we welcome Brooke and Glanz to the practice, we thought we’d share a little insight into who they are beyond the inbox and the Zoom screen.
Q: What’s your favourite ice cream flavour?
Glanz: I’m a fan of the classics — vanilla is my go-to.
Brooke: It has to be salted caramel. No competition!
Q: What does “fun” look like for you?
Brooke: Great company and a tasty meal. Food is life!
Glanz: For me, fun is all about balance. I actually enjoy staying organised and getting things done (yes, really!). But I’m also all for those little moments—laughing with the team, grabbing a coffee, or just taking a pause to reset.
