Founders, Boards, CEOs and their Leadership teams may not be able to control external events, however, they can create the conditions for performance in their organisations by focusing on the systems that connect, align, and inspire their people.
That’s where “The Culture Catalyst” comes in; an insightful and entertaining discussion lead by award winning author, Stephanie Bown, to guide leaders to embed systems of culture, leadership and strategy in their organisations to drive high-performance.
Feedback is essential to performance.
Without it, we are flying blind. We’ve all heard the saying that ‘no news is good news’, but when it comes to inspiring high performance, it’s just not true. In high-performance cultures and high-performing teams, leaders adopt a constant and daily habit of asking for and giving feedback, reinforcing the behaviours of their people that add value and bring us closer to meeting set standards.

Setting standards is about being clear on the outcomes for performance; but not being prescriptive about how to get there. It’s about pointing the direction you want people to go; but letting the navigate their own path. This can at first seem paradoxical.
How can you exert control as a leader over an outcome without controlling the way that outcome is achieved?
What to expect in this episode:
(03:31): Excerpt from chapter 7 of the book, ‘Purpose, Passion and Performance’
(06:54): This one mind trick will make you spot opportunities in your goal and standard setting
(08:41): 3 key tips on setting standards
