I love working with Leaders who make a difference. In this month’s Leader in the Spotlight I speak with Jane Vadiveloo, founding CEO of Children’s Ground.
Through work and direction of Elders and community leaders, Children’s Ground is a systems change organisation that privileges First Nations systems of knowledge and practice.
Jane has worked with First Nations communities for 25 years, establishing strength and justice-based approaches to achieve systemic and long-term change.
It is a 25-year approach led by communities who experience the greatest disadvantage as a result of social, cultural and economic injustice. This organisation is designed for future generations of children to have the right to determine their future and enjoy economic, political, social and cultural wellbeing.
Jane was one of the Westpac Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence.
I thoroughly loved speaking with Jane, who shares great insight into the shared leadership and governance system that ensures that “No individual ever has the freedom to determine a decision without the checks and balances of another individual.”
